A2/A2 is the original protein that has been present in cows since the beginning era.
After the demand for milk began to rise, humans started cross breeding of cows to catch up with the demand. This led to mutation of A2 Protein (proline - original) to A1 Protein (histidine).
There are certain breeds of cows which still secrete the original A2/A2 Protein Milk. These have been identified and registered by DNA testing of the various breeds by the National Agricultural Ministry of respective countries. Over the years, mutation led to A1 milk becoming prominent in the market due to it’s high quantity availability.
